"Fernando Gonzalez blogs about his new coach: Martin Rodriguez"

"Fernando Gonzalez has a new coach: Martin Rodriguez"

Fernando Gonzalez has announced his new coach, Martin Rodriguez.
Rodriguez is from Argentina and was a very good doubles player. His career high in doubles was 15 and he had very good success specially playing with Gaston Etlis.

Martin was coached by Horacio de la Peña, who also coached Gonzalez, so maybe that's one of the reasons why Fernando has a very good relationship with Martin.

Check out what Fernando Gonzalez said about his important decision:
Hello friends.

I want to let you know that I already took the decision about who will be my new coach. I'll begin to work with Martin Rodriguez, whom I have known for many years and it's a great person.

I think Martin is someone who has much to contribute to my career. First, because of the number of years that he was playing at a high level and that led him to compete in the Masters twice in doubles.
The most important thing for me at the moment is that Martin came to play his best tennis at my age, and was able to stay many years at the high level, which is precisely what I want to get at the moment.

Martin previously worked with Guillermo Coria and formed one of the best pairs of tennis together with the Gaston Etlis. Apart from all this is a great guy and he knows Chile very well. The decision was not difficult to take and I feel very well, with great desire to work for 2009.

Greetings friends and thanks for visiting my website.

Fernando
