Andre Agassi announced that he will be playing two matches for the Philadelphia Freedoms in the World Team Tennis league on July 10 in Philadelphia and July 17 in Newport Beach, Calif.

“Team play is a terrific way to showcase tennis, especially for kids. WTT is competitive, it’s fun and there’s a really great energy from the fans.” Agassi said in a statement released by the league.

Agassi, who retired in 2006 with eight career Grand Slam titles, played for WTT from 2002-04.

Tennis fans will get a chance to watch other stars like, Serena and Venus Williams, Anna Kournikova, John McEnroe and Martina Navratilova in the 10-team league that runs from July 2-26.

It looks like Andre Agassi is missing the feeling of being in a tennis court because he will be also playing a doubles exhibition at Wimbledon along with his wife, Steffi Graf, Kim Clijsters and Tim Henman.
