Fish beats Korolev to win Delray Beach Title

Mardy Fish defeated Evgeny Korolev 7-5 6-3 to win the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships title.

It was the second career title for Fish, who has not won a tournament since April 2006.

Fish became the first American to win this event since 2003, when he was beaten by Jan-Michael Gambill in the final.

Fish got off to a shaky start in his 13th career appearance in an ATP final, dropping a pair of early breaks before going back up a break to win the first set, which was delayed nearly two hours due to rain.

A Tampa native, Fish finished the 92-minute match with six aces and four breaks.

Nicolas Almagro wins Abierto Mexicano Telcel Title in Acapulco

Nicolas Almagro defeated Gael Monfils 6-4 6-4 to claim his second title at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel in Acapulco.

Almagro needed in an hour and 16 minutes to beat the Frenchman who was the second seed.

The Spaniard took a 5-1 lead with breaks in the third and fifth games og the first set. Monfils saved two set points on his serve at 1-5 and broke in the next game but Almagro served out the first set.

Almagro broke again in the opening game and coasted home, Monfils never managing another break point.

“I think the key to the match was my serve. My mind has also been strong this week and helped me overcome my issues with my shoulder which I’ve been battling these past few weeks. This has helped me gain the self confidence I needed after six tough months of injury last year.” Almagro said.

Monfils was disappointed with his performance.

“When I get to the final I have a hard time. Today in particular I didn’t handle it well. I wasn’t aggressive enough but it’s something I will work on and hopefully get better at." Monfils said.

Rafael Nadal visits Iberia's Headquarters

Rafa Nadal visited Iberia's Headquarters ‘La Muñoza’ aircraft installations accompanied last December.

Rafael was invited to have breakfast with the airline’s personnel as a complementary gesture before heading out to start the tour around their premises.

Nadal started the tour in the ‘Hangar 4’ section were he was invited to get on board of an A-340 plane that was being carefully checked by the company’s operational team.
Then he went to ‘Hangar 5’ area for a closer look of the aircraft where the Spaniard had the chance to get some photos taken.

Later, the world number 1 made his way to the ‘Engine Testing Headquarters’, where he had the opportunity to learn how Iberia’s technicians go about making sure all their planes are safe to travel.
Nadal had the chance to see the mandatory maintenance procedures as well as the tests they have to carry out on every single one of their engines to make sure they are working at the necessary level.

Rafa's last stop was the hub of ‘La Muñosa” where they keep their ‘In-Flight simulators’.
There Nadal was shown, through their advanced virtual system, how their crew are trained and learn to familiarize not only with the plane but also with the different airports.

He even had the chance to ‘fly’ on the simulator by conducting a series of landing and take off tests that he successfully completed.

Rafael Nadal had an amazing experience and enjoyed a lot spending day day at the Iberia's Headquarters.
