Roger Federer has become the global brand ambassador of the premium chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli.

This is the first time that Lindt & Sprüngli uses a famous public figure to promote their products. The contract details of the agreement will not be made public.

For Lindt & Sprüngli this is highly promising opportunity to enhance the global popularity of its premium chocolates and become still more firmly established in key global markets.

Stakhovsky beats Zeballos to win St. Petersburg Open title

Andriy Stakhovsky defeated Horacio Zeballos 2-6, 7-6 (8), 7-6 (7) to claim the St. Petersburg Open title.

Stakhovsky saved a match point in the third-set tiebreaker, and sealed the win with a backhand volley on his second match point.

“Frankly speaking, I didn’t expect to win,” Stakhovsky said. “Zeballos played better today. He moved, served and received better, but at the end of the second set he eased the pressure and that cost him the match.”

On his part, Horacio Zebllos said: "I’m satisfied with my results in St. Petersburg. On key points, Stakhovsky played well while I couldn’t put in my first serve. I should have played more aggressively on my break points in the second set.”

Ivan Ljubicic wins Lyon Grand Prix Title

Ivan Ljubicic defeated Michael Llodra 7-5, 6-3 to win the Lyon Grand Prix title.

Ljubicic served seven aces and broke Llodra three times on his way to the title in a match that lasted 1 hour and 36 minutes.

Llodra saved two break points in the sixth game of the first set. He began to read his opponent’s serve, but still failed to convert break chances in the ninth and 11th games. Trailing 6-5, Llodra sent a forehand in the net to give up two break points. Ljubicic converted the first when Llodra volleyed wide.

Llodra broke in the first game of the second set with a forehand return down the line, and won his next game serve at love.

The Frenchman soon let Ljubicic level at 2-2 after missing two easy volleys. The Croat kept up the pressure and went ahead 4-2 with another passing shot, before closing out the match at love on serve.

Jurgen Melzer beats Marin Cilic to win Vienna title

Jurgen Melzer beat Marin Cilic 6-4, 6-3 to win the Bank Austria Tennis Trophy title.

Melzer saved five break points to hold serve throughout. He broke Cilic three times in the final.

“I can’t find the right words to describe my emotions,” said Melzer.

Cilic looked in control early on. He won seven straight points from the start of the match, but missed three break chances in the second game.

Melzer did not score a point in Cilic’s first three service games, but broke him at 3-3. He saved two break points while serving for the set at 5-4, before Cilic netted a forehand return on set point.

Melzer served flawlessly in the second set, while Cilic missed more forehands from the baseline. He saved two match points before hitting a backhand wide to end the contest.

“I am over the moon. I am very proud to win here.” Melzer added.
