Juan Carlos Ferrero reaches Buenos Aires semis

Juan Carlos Ferrero reached to the Copa Telmex semi-finals with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 victory over Santiago Ventura in Buenos Aires.

Ferrero is on an eight-match winning streak, having won the Brasil Open title in Costa do Sauipe last week.

The former Roland Garros champion combatted losing his own serve once by converting three of six break points to prevail in the pair’s first meeting after one hour and 47 minutes.

Ferrero will face either eighth seed Horacio Zeballos or fourth seed Juan Monaco.

All other quarter-final matches scheduled for Friday were postponed due to rain.
