Novak Djokovic thinks Serbia can reach Davis Cup final

Novak Djokovic thinks Serbia can reach Davis Cup final

Novak Djokovic will be part of Serbia's Davis Cup team that will face Croatia this weekend in the quarterfinals. He is very confident about the team and thinks Serbia has a good chance to beat Croatia and to reach the final as well.

Djokovic, who will be joined by Nenad Zimonjic, Viktor Troicki and Janko Tipsarevic, is confident they can get a win in Split.

“Croatia has been more successful than us in the Davis Cup,” said Djokovic. “But we have a team that can get through to the finals.”

Djokovic added that both teams “have the quality to meet in the finals.”

Serbia and Croatia fought a war in the 1990s, and there remains some animosity between them.

“I am used to playing in front of a lot of spectators and in a fiery atmosphere,” Djokovic said. “The Davis Cup is a very unpredictable competition, especially if you’re the visiting team.”
