Federer reaches Paris Quarterfinals

Roger Federer scored a 64 63 win over Radek Stepanek at the BNP Paribas Masters to advance to the quarters where he will face Jurgen Melzer.

The opening set was a close affair. Stepanek had two break points but Federer gained control of the game and the set to establish a set and 3-0 lead.
The former world number 1 closed out the match after one hour and 19 minutes of play.

Federer has won back-to-back titles in Stockholm and Basel, wants to do the same here in Paris where he never past the quarters.
