Nadal beats Murray to reach Wimbledon 2011 final
Rafael Nadal scored a 5-7, 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 win over Andy Murray to reached the Wimbledon 2011 final.
After Murray won a close first set, the match turned dramatically in Nadal’s favor early in the second set.
Murray was leading 2-1 and over-hit an easy forehand that would have given him two break points. Instead, Nadal won the next seven games before easing to victory and a place in Sunday’s final against Novak Djokovic.
Murray appeared to be slowed by a hip problem as he tried to become the first British man since 1938 to reach the final.
Nadal is unbeaten in 20 matches at Wimbledon since losing to Roger Federer in the 2007 final.

Djokovic reaches Wimbledon Final, becomes world number 1 ATP rankings
Djokovic reaches Wimbledon Final, becomes world number 1 ATP rankings
Novak Djokovic defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6 6-2 6-7 6-3 to reach the 2011 Wimbledon final and guarantee becoming world number one in the ATP rankings next week.
Djokovic looked to be cruising to a straight-sets victory but Tsonga suddenly sprung to life in the third set, breaking Djokovic’s serve to force a tiebreak which he won 11-9.
The Serb held his nerve to secure an early break in the fourth set and Tsonga could not respond.
Djokovic will play Rafael Nadal or Andy Murray in the final on Sunday
“It’s hard to express your emotions in a very short time but hopefully some more celebrations are about to come,” said Djokovic, who also beat Tsonga in the 2008 Australian Open final.
“I’ve been working all my life for this,” Djokovic said. “I’ve been dreaming about playing the finals of Wimbledon since I started playing tennis when I was 4. To be able to be there on Sunday will probably be the best feeling.”
Tsonga was a gracious loser.
"Today I played well. My opponent was just better than me today," he said.
"I tried to take my chance on every point, but it was just tough because he was running everywhere and the ball was coming back all the time. I feel tired after this match."
