Murray into quarterfinals at Dubai Championships

Andy Murray defeated Marco Chiudinelli 6-3, 6-4 to reach the the quarterfinals at the Dubai Championships 2012.

Murray broke Chiudinelli to go up 3-1 in the first set and moved him around the court with ease.

The second set was closer as both players held serve for the first eight games but the Scott broke to go up 5-4 and won the match with his serve.

Murray next plays Tomas Berdych or Lukas Lacko.

"I played well throughout today," Murray said. "I played a little bit better, so that's progress. Now I just need to keep that going."

Murray told the crowd how training in Florida had helped him cope with the rising Dubai temperatures, in the nineties on court.

"Conditions in Miami are hotter than this," he said. "I find the conditions here almost perfect. I'd been practising serve there and I think that went well today."
