Federer survives Delpo to reach Roland Garros semis

Roger Federer defeated Juan Martin del Potro 3-6, 6-7 (4), 6-2, 6-0, 6-3 and advanced to the semifinals at the 2012 French Open.

Federer reached his record-tying 31st Grand Slam semifinal, where he'll play Novak Djokovic.

Del Potro said he'd need a nearly perfect day to reprise his upset over Federer from 2009, and for two sets he did it. But Federer rallied and won his 237th Grand Slam match.

The Argentine broke serve four times in the first two sets but a knee injury flared up and required treatment. Federer seized control of the match, losing just eight points in the fourth set, before taking control of the deciding set for his 237th match win at a major championship.
