Roger Federer will play in the Davis Cup playoff against the Netherlands this weekend.
He is scheduled to arrive in Amsterdam on Wednesday and will play in one of the opening singles matches on Friday.
The world group relegation playoff is being played on outdoor clay courts.
Federer did not commit to representing his country after losing in the U.S. Open quarterfinals against Tomas Berdych but his federation says he will be there.
The winner this weekend stays in the top-tier, 16-nation world group.
