• Murray advanced to the Indian Wells QF for the fifth time in his career with a straight-forward 6-3, 6-3 victory over Adrian Mannarino in 91 minutes.
• Murray overcame a second-set blip to defeat Kohlschreiber 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 in the 3R, saving six of the seven BPs he faced. The world No. 4 eased past Pospisil 6-1, 6-3 in his opening match.
• Murray leads the way this tournament in first-serve return stats, winning 41.4% of points against his opponent’s first serves.
• Murray is visiting Indian Wells for the 10th time. His best run here came in 2009 when he finished runner-up (d. No. 2 Federer in SF, l. to No. 1 Nadal in F). The Scot has twice lost his opening match at this event, in 2011 (l. to Young) and 2012 (l. to Garcia-Lopez).
• Murray is contesting his 39th ATP Masters 1000 QF. He is bidding to reach his 21st SF at this level and his first since winning Miami in March 2013.

• Murray has a 2-2 record in QFs at Indian Wells.
• Murray improved his career record against left-handers to 62-18 with his win over Mannarino. Fifteen of those 18 losses have come against Nadal. His last loss to a left-hander not named Nadal was to Thomaz Bellucci in Madrid four years ago.
• Murray opened his season by reaching the Australian Open final for the fourth time (l. to Djokovic). He fell to 2-6 in Grand Slam finals.

• Ahead of Indian Wells, Murray saw off Young and Isner in Glasgow to help Great Britain reach the Davis Cup World Group QF for the second year in a row with a 3-2 win over USA.
• In 2014, Murray finished in the Top 6 for the seventh year in a row after extending his run of winning at least one title to nine straight years. He advanced to the QF or better 15 times, winning three titles.
• Lopez reached the Indian Wells QF for the first time after clinching his first Top 10 win of the season, defeating Nishikori 6-4, 7-6(2). The Spaniard converted on both of his BP opportunities.
• Lopez overcame a second-set dip to beat Cuevas 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in the 3R. He edged Roger-Vasselin 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-4 in his opener.
• Lopez leads the way in aces at Indian Wells, firing down 46 in his three matches so far. He also tops the break point conversion table, converting on nine of his 13 BP chances.
• Lopez is making his 13th appearance at Indian Wells. This is only the second time he has advanced beyond the 3R here. He reached the 4R last year (l. to Benneteau).
• Lopez is appearing in an ATP Masters 1000 QF for the 12th time in his career. He is bidding to reach his fifth SF at this level.
• Lopez now has a 30-80 career record vs. Top 10 opponents.
• Lopez has contested four other tournaments this year, reaching the final at the inaugural event in Quito (l. to Estrella Burgos), the 4R at the Australian Open (l. to Raonic in 5 sets) and the 2R in Chennai (l. to Bedene) and Dubai (l. to Ilhan). On March 2, the 33-year-old Spaniard rose to a career-high No. 12 in the Emirates ATP Rankings.
• In 2014, Lopez finished in the Top 15 for the first time at a year-end high No. 14, winning a personal-best 39 matches and a fourth career ATP World Tour title.
