• Raonic needed just 65 minutes to see off Robredo 6-3, 6-2 in the 4R, saving the one BP he faced. The Canadian has now reached the QF or better at eight of his last 10 ATP Masters 1000 events.
• Raonic beat Dolgopolov 7-6(2), 6-4 in the 3R, avenging last year’s QF loss to the Ukrainian. In his opening match, the world No. 6 overcame Bolelli 6-3, 6-4.
• Raonic has held in all 30 of his service games this tournament, saving the three BPs he has faced. He also leads the way in first serve points won (88.6%) and second serve points won (70.4%).
• Raonic is making his fifth appearance at the BNP Paribas Open. He has gone one round further year on year since his 3R exit in 2012 (l. to Federer), reaching the 4R in 2013 (l. to Tsonga) and QF in 2014 (l. to Dolgopolov).
• Raonic is contesting his 11th ATP Masters 1000 QF (4-6) and his second at Indian Wells (0-1).
• Three of Raonic’s four ATP defeats in 2015 have come at the hands of Top 10 opposition, each of whom went on to win the tournament: Federer (Brisbane), Djokovic (Australian Open), and Wawrinka (Rotterdam).

• Raonic helped Canada defeat Japan in Davis Cup ahead of Indian Wells, beating Tatsuma Ito but losing to Nishikori, his fourth Top 10 defeat of the season.
• Coming into this event, Raonic had won 94% of his service games from his first 14 ATP matches of 2015. Only Karlovic (97%) has a higher conversion rate, from 17 matches.
• In 2014, Raonic became the first player from his country to end a season in the Top 10 after winning a personal-best 49 matches and capturing a sixth career title – and first at ATP 500 level – in Washington (d. Pospisil in first all-Canadian ATP final).
• Nadal booked his place in a ninth BNP Paribas Open final after seeing off Simon 6-2, 6-4 in 79 minutes. The Spaniard swept past Sijsling 6-4, 6-2 in his opening match before overcoming Young by the same scoreline, 6-4, 6-2.
• Nadal tops the return table at this event, winning 51.9% of games when returning serve – a full 5% better than Murray in second place.
• Nadal is making his 11th appearance at the BNP Paribas Open. He was a champion in 2007 (d. Djokovic), 2009 (d. Murray) and 2013 (d. Del Potro). In 2014 he fell in the 3R (l. to Dolgopolov), his earliest exit since falling in the 3R on his debut in 2004 (l. to Agustin Calleri).
• Nadal is contesting the 65th ATP World Tour Masters 1000 QF of his career (54-10 in QFs) and his ninth at Indian Wells (8-0).
• Nadal has never lost to a Canadian opponent, going 8-0.
• Nadal has a 26-2 record vs. players born in the 1990s with his two losses coming against Nick Kyrgios (Wimbledon) and Borna Coric (Basel) last year.
• Nadal lost his opening match of the season, 1R in Doha (l. to Michael Berrer), before reaching the QF of the Australian Open (l. to Berdych).
• After reaching the Rio de Janeiro SF (l. to Fognini), Nadal won the 46th clay court title of his career in Buenos Aires (d. Monaco), just three short of Guillermo Vilas’ record clay court title haul of 49.
• Nadal’s victory in Buenos Aires ended a nine-month trophy drought dating back to Roland Garros 2014 (d. Djokovic). His last hard court title came in January 2014 in Doha (d. Monfils).
• Since the beginning of the 2009 season, Nadal has won 36 of his 40 matches against French opposition. He is currently on a 13-match winning streak against players from France.
• In 2014, Nadal finished in the Top 3 for the ninth time in the past 10 years (except 2012), capturing four titles in seven finals. The Spaniard extended his streak of winning at least one Grand Slam title per year to a record 10th year in a row with his ninth victory at Roland Garros. His 14 Slam titles are tied second all-time with Sampras, behind Federer (17).
