Medvedev receive Wimbledon fine

Medvedev receive Wimbledon fine

Daniil Medvedev, who threw a handful coins in the direction of the chair umpire after a second-round loss to Ruben Bemelmans, was given three fines totaling $14,500.

After shaking hands with his conqueror, Medvedev grabbed his wallet and pulled out some coins before hurling them toward the foot of the umpire's chair.

"In the heat of the moment, I did a bad thing. I apologize for this," Medvedev said in his press conference.
