Good start of 2019 for Rafael Nadal

Good start of 2019 for Rafael Nadal

The year 2018 was not bad for Rafael Nadal. He won ‘his’ Roland Garros and the ATP tournaments in Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome and Toronto. He reached the quarter final at the Australian Open, but he had to retire, just like in the semi-final at the US Open.

At Wimbledon he lost in a very exciting semi-final against Novak Djokovic with 10-8 in the fifth set. The year could have been more successful if he would not have had any injuries. Maybe 2019 will bring him even more success.

Rafael Nadal had a good start of the year 2019. On the Australian Open, he did not lose one set before reaching the final. In the final Novak Djokovic was too strong. ‘Rafa’ lost the final with 3-0.
Despite this loss, Nadal was satisfied about his tournament and he is looking forward to the rest of the season.

Also outside the tennis court the year started well for the 32-year-old Spaniard. He engaged to Maria Fransisca Perello, his girlfriend since he was eighteen. Will his engagement provide extra motivation on the tennis court?

Nadal will play at all three remaining Grand Slams this year and he will be one of the favourites, especially on Roland Garros. Buy your Tennis Tickets to see Rafael Nadal live in action!
