Guillermo Coria, who is now 27 years old, announced this afternoon that he is retiring from professional tennis and said he feels "very happy" with his decision. Coria, who was as high as number 3, now is ranked 673th.

"I made a conscious decision that I will not return to play. I was thinking about it since several months ago. In Thailand, I realized that it was hard for me to travel, not only was the serve" explained the Coria.

"I am very happy with this decision: I have new projects, more time for family," said Coria.

"In 2005 I was already with little desire to compete, I had three years that things weren't as I wanted, no longer felt so passionately about what I did and it is impossible to do things well like that. In this sport, you have to be 100%"
