Alexander Zverev will seek his first title this season against 75th-ranked Nicolas Jarry in the Geneva Open final on Saturday.

Zverev was pushed hard in a 7-5, 6-7 (6), 6-3 win over Federico Delbonis of Argentina in the last four on Friday.

Alex let a 5-1 lead slip before taking the first set. In the decider, Zverev forced a service break to lead 2-1 and clinched victory by again breaking serve.

Jarry advanced to his first career final by beating fifth-seeded Radu Albot of Moldova 6-3, 6-4.

Chardy wins marathon opener at Miami Open

Jeremy Chardy outlasted Nicolas Jarry 6-7 (1), 6-2, 7-6 (5) as his quest for another lengthy run at the Miami Open began Thursday.

Chardy won 72 percent of his service points in the 2-hour, 34-minute affair. He only faced break point twice in the match while converting two breaks of his own.

Chardy rallied from 4-2 down in the third-set tiebreaker by winning four straight points before converting on his second attempt at match point.

Fognini wins Sao Paulo, dedicates title to tragic Astori

Fabio Fognini scored a 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Nicolas Jarry to win the Sao Paulo title and dedicated his win to Fiorentina footballer Davide Astori who died earlier Sunday.

"This trophy is for Davide Astori," said Fognini at the presentation ceremony for the clay court tournament.

Astori, who played 14 times for Italy, was found dead in his hotel room in Udine in Italy on Sunday morning where his team had been due to play Udinese in Serie A.

Fabio Fognini beat Pablo Cuevas6-4, 6-2 to reach the Brazil Open final in Sao Paulo where he will face Nicolas Jarry.

Jarry overcame Horacio Zeballos 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-4.

The final of the Brazilian tournament on clay will mark the first match between the Italian and the Chilean. Neither has won the Brazil Open title.

Pablo Cuevas beat Leonardo Mayer 6-2, 6-7 (13), 7-6 (7) on Friday to reach the Brazil Open semifinals

The third-seeded Cuevas will face second-seeded Fabio Fognini in the clay-court event. Fognini beat Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-4, 6-2.

Nicolas Jarry upset top-seeded Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-7 (6), 6-4, 7-6 (3) in the late match to set up a semifinal against Horacio Zeballo.

Zeballo topped Rogerio Dutra Silva 6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-4.

Dominic Thiem owas upset 6-4, 6-0 by Fernando Verdasco in the quarterfinals of the Rio Open.

Thiem won the Argentina Open on Sunday for his ninth career title.

Verdasco will play Fabio Fognini, a 6-7, 6-3, 6-1 winner over Alijaz Bedene in the late match.

Bedene lost to Thiem in the Argentina Open final.

In the other semifinal at Jockey Club Brasileiro, Diego Schwartzman will face Nicolas Jarry. Schwartzman beat Gael Monfils 6-3, 6-4, and Jarry topped Pablo Cuevas 7-5, 6-3.
