David Ferrer beats Mario Ancic at Ordina Open
David Ferrer, top seed, advanced to the Ordina Open semifinals with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) win over Mario Ancic 6-4, 7-6 on Thursday.
Ancic was on a 12-match win streak at Den Bosch after winning the tournament in 2005 and 2006, but missed last year due to illness.
Ferrer will face unseeded Argentine teenager Juan Martin Del Proto in the semifinals. Del Porto served 13 aces and beat Frenchman Arnaud Clement of France in another quarterfinal 2-6, 6-3, 6-1.
