Federer gets street with his name in Halle | Roger-Federer-Allee

Roger Federer received the honor of having a street named after him in Germany.

The town of Halle, in western Germany, hosts the Gerry Weber Open, an event that the Swiss won 5 times, and now re-named a street leading to the stadium, known as Weststrasse, as Roger-Federer-Allee..

Federer has a "lifetime contract" with the tournament that the former world number 1 uses as a warm up for Wimbledon.

He sent a ltter to the tournament saying he is "extremely humbled" by the gesture, calling it an "amazing honor."
