Tsonga runs out of steam in Eastbourne, loses to Stepanek
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was upset 6-2 6-3 by Radek Stepanek in the second round at the AEGON Internmational in Eastbourne.
Tsonga looked out of sorts as he lost in just over an hour in his third match in three days.
Today the Frenchman ran out of steam and lost concentration against Stepanek, who was always in control and moved almost effortlessly into the quarter-finals where he will face the winner of the match between Kei Nishikori and Rainer Schuettler.
"I've played a lot of matches. That was my goal for this preparation. Today I'm just tired, but I'm sure I will recover enough to play Wimbledon and to be ready."
